The moral rot of the left is now undeniable

If you want to know how deep the moral rot is on the left in America you need look no further than the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Act. The bill would do just what its name says. It protects babies that are born alive during a botched abortion and gives them the same consideration of life that any other human being is given. But all but three Democrats in the Senate voted against this bill, keeping it from reaching that magic number of 60 votes to pass.

We got a glimpse into the heart of the American left recently when the state of New York passed a bill allowing abortions up to and including the day of delivery. A bishop from Tyler, Texas described the jubilant signing ceremony with Governor Cuomo as “the chattering of demons.”

It was right after that that Governor Northam of Virginia pushed to modify that state’s abortion law to allow third trimester abortions if the mother’s mental or physical health is threatened as determined by just one doctor instead of the three required now. The bill’s sponsor acknowledged that it would technically allow abortion up until the point of birth. The “mental health” provision could be interpreted by a doctor as practically anything, including the mother just wasn’t emotionally equipped to take care of a baby.

Northam, who supported the bill, was asked what would happen to a baby who was born after a failed attempt to abort. “The infant would be resuscitated, if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother.” 

Wait a minute. The baby would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother wanted? So, if she didn’t want the baby she could have it killed? And if it was resuscitated then the mother and doctor would decide if they would kill it?

This is why the Senate bill was needed, and the Democrats killed it.

But the blame is not just on the 44 Democrats who voted against it. It’s also on Mitch McConnell and the Republicans who allow this ridiculous charade called the filibuster to continue.

CBS News blatantly lied to the readers of its website in 2017 by saying of the 60-vote rule “that that’s what the Founders intended.” Nothing could be further from the truth. The truth is the filibuster and its 60-vote rule came about by accident when presiding officer Vice President Aaron Burr pushed to eliminate the ‘previous question motion’ arguing that it was redundant. The Senate voted to eliminate the previous question rule and unwittingly left a void in terminating debate. It wasn’t until 1837 that the first filibuster was actually used, some 50 years after the first U.S. Senate.

The truth is the Founding Fathers intended for bills to pass with a simple majority. The only things they required a super majority for were issues like impeachment convictions, overriding presidential vetoes, and ratifying treaties. They never envisioned the minority party holding Washington hostage with the 60-vote rule. It should never have come into existence and it should be eliminated immediately, yet Mitch McConnell is too spineless to push for it.

These days a filibuster is not even required. Used to be a senator had to hold the floor in order to gum up the works. Nowadays the lazy bums just have to threaten a filibuster and the 60-vote rule is invoked. 

The House once allowed the idiotic filibuster but wisely chose to eliminate it long ago. It’s time the Senate does the same, before another innocent child dies.

The purposeful deception of the mainstream media

I saw a headline from PJMedia.com this week. Actually, it was a question. ‘Why Does the MSM Keep Falling for Obvious Hoaxes?’ It was in reference to the Jussie Smollett hoax that he was the victim of a hate crime. Smollett is one of the stars on the Fox hit Empire. To answer the question of the headline we must first look at how many hoaxes the mainstream media have fallen for in the era of Trump.

Back in November of 2016, an openly bisexual student at North Park University in Chicago claimed to be the victim of hate notes. She told NBC News, “I just want them to stop.” Turns out she was the one writing them.

Jussie Smollett on Good Morning America

A woman in Philly took to Facebook with the claim that some Trump-supporting men pulled a gun on her at a gas station saying, according to her, that they were glad they wouldn’t have to deal with ni**ers much longer. When her story went viral (of course) she claimed the men had been caught by the police. Turns out the police had no idea what she was talking about.

Remember the church that was spray-painted with a swastika and anti-gay slurs? Turns out it was the church’s own Trump-hating organist.

Then in February of 2017 a Muslim student found anti-Muslim graffiti on his dorm room door, only he didn’t just find it. He wrote it.

A big one came in September of 2017 when racist notes were found at the Air Force Academy’s prep school. One note read, “Go home ni**er.” The general in charge of the school gave an impassioned speech about dignity and respect. It was all a big hoax.

There are examples all over the place of waiters and waitresses claiming to find racist notes that turned out to be written by them. And who can forget the recent media frenzy around the Covington Catholic school kids who were these white-privileged monsters taunting Indians and black guys until we learned from video evidence that the Indians and the black guys were the ones harassing them. In fact, the Indian guy at the center of that controversy has a history of making up “hate crime” stories.

So when I first heard on the news that a gay black man who stars in the TV show Empire was the victim of a hate crime in 12-below-zero Chicago by two white guys who put a noose around his neck and shouted pro-Trump slogans I knew immediately it was bovine scatology. Then, to get back to PJMedia’s headline question, why didn’t the mainstream media? 

I’m going to be bold in answering that question. They did know. They knew just like I did that the story couldn’t possibly be true. However, it made great anti-Trump copy. That’s more important than the truth. It doesn’t matter that it turns out to be bogus. It doesn’t matter that they know it’s bogus from the start. All that matters is it fits into the template. Trump is a racist, homophobic, anti-Semite who also hates Muslims. And his followers are just as bad. They go out and beat up the people Trump only wishes he could beat up. Then it all ends up not being true and where’s the story? Buried, if they run it at all.

Why does the mainstream media keep falling for obvious hoaxes? They don’t. They merely take them and amplify them as part of their propaganda against President Trump. And then feign outrage when he calls them fake news.

Donald Trump is our only hope

I told you last week that President Trump had turned a corner with his State of the Union address. He is in full campaign mode, and no one is better on the campaign trail than Donald Trump. But the liberals are handing him ammunition. The Green New Deal is a dream come true for Trump. That’s why it’s so important in this moment of American history that we have someone like Trump in the White House. He is the clear delineation between capitalism and socialism.

This is where the Democrats have been heading for a long time. It could be argued that this is where they’ve been for a long time. Tip O’Neill didn’t start the slide to socialism for the Democrats, but he’s emblematic of the bridge between the likes of Sam Rayburn and Nancy Pelosi. When my father was a Democrat in Congress in the ‘80s, people like Pelosi and Barney Frank were considered the left fringe of the party. Now they’re the middle of the road of the Democrat Party. They’re also being edged out by the more radical voices of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Elizabeth Warren, and Kamala Harris.

Some are frightened of these radical new voices, and well they should be, but these voices also offer a clear contrast to capitalism in this country. Trump is capitalism personified. He loves this country. He knows what made it great. He’s an American success story. Had we even had someone as business-minded as Mitt Romney as president we wouldn’t have this clear distinction. Romney tends to be mushy on the important issues like illegal immigration and global warming. He would surely be compromising with the likes of AOC.

Trump understands his role in history. He is the bulwark against a total transformation of this country from capitalism that made it great to socialism that has failed wherever it’s been tried. That is the litmus test. Ask any proponent of AOC and socialism to cite any example—past or present—where socialism has worked. They can’t. The irony of all of this is they cry for taxing the ‘tippy top’ at 70 percent while Venezuela, which did exactly that, crumbles before our eyes.

Speaking of irony, Sen. Amy Klobuchar announced her candidacy for president and scolded the Republicans about the dangers of global warming in the midst of a blizzard. Of course, the people who spent decades telling us the earth was going to burn are now telling us the frigid weather is climate change. These are the same people who point to floods as climate change but were just telling us we were running out of water.

Any other Republican president would be buckling to the pressure from the radical global warming crowd. Not Trump. He made fun of Klobuchar’s announcement, and well he should. The liberals are fond of saying, “Speak truth to power.” Trump is speaking truth to liars. This Green New Deal would be a disaster for America. It would cut off the lifeblood of capitalism which is affordable energy. It would reward people who don’t work. It would cost the taxpayers trillions they don’t have.

Global warming like Occupy Wall Street and myriad other left-wing causes are merely vehicles to destroy capitalism and give rise to socialism. Socialism is complete government control. If you don’t know what that looks like remember this. The Nazis were socialists. Like I said, socialism has been tried many times before and failed.

Trump is now above 50 percent in approval. He is what stands between us and another Venezuela. Our only hope is that he prevails.

Americans now have a clear choice: Socialism or capitalism

Try as she did, Speaker Nancy Pelosi could not keep President Trump away from the American people. She knew if she allowed him to address the nation from the House chamber during the shutdown it would be game over. She may have just delayed the game, but the outcome was inevitable. Trump was going to connect with the American people one way or another. He was going to explain our dire situation at the border. He was going to make the case for the wall. And he was going to paint a contrast between those who are for law and order and keeping Americans safe and those who are not.

Going into the State of the Union address, the president’s approval rating was at 48 percent, according to Rasmussen. That’s two points ahead of where Obama was at this point in his presidency. One thing Trump has working against him is so many people personally despise him. Obama, on the other hand, was liked by the opposition, even though they disagreed with him. What Obama didn’t have that Trump does is an unmistakable track record to point to in such a short time in office. Unemployment is at a near 50-year low. Black and Hispanic unemployment numbers are at historic lows. Trump’s approval with Hispanics rose 19 percent during the shutdown specifically because he was working to keep illegal aliens out of the country.

Nancy Pelosi’s childish ploy to delay the State of the Union until after the government reopened may have been a gift to the president. Had he given the address on schedule we wouldn’t know that we added 304,000 new jobs in January, far ahead of the 170,000 predicted. We wouldn’t know that wages increased last year at over 3 percent, the greatest clip in a decade. And we wouldn’t know that the government shutdown had no negative effect on the economy.

We also wouldn’t know that the Chinese blinked and agreed to buy about 18 times more soybeans than they bought before Trump hit them with tariffs. We wouldn’t have known, had he given the speech in January, that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office estimated tariffs would only reduce GDP by 0.1 percent. And that was before the administration announced the Chinese soybean deal.

Despite negative news coverage of this president at well over 90 percent, the man is still more popular than his predecessor who was fawned over by the press. What the American people are slowly learning is the mainstream media folks are scared to death of Donald Trump. They’re scared to death because they know what he’s doing is working. That’s why Nancy Pelosi did her best to delay the State of the Union address for as long as she could.

And we’re building the wall. In spite of Congress, the president is fulfilling his promise to the American people, something totally unheard of in Washington.

Meanwhile, the Democrats, drawing a false sense of boldness from the president’s perceived weakness, have decided to show their true colors. They hoped Trump’s negative numbers would give them cover. New York has just passed—and gleefully so—an abortion-on-demand bill that allows a woman to terminate her pregnancy at any stage of it. As they wring their hands over Trump’s Supreme Court appointments out of fear they’ll overturn Roe v. Wade, the liberals themselves are hastening its demise. If killing a child the day the mother goes into labor is now Roe v. Wade, they’ve left the high court no other option.

The choice is now clear. Socialism versus capitalism. America versus Venezuela.

Dems see their opportunity for socialism

The left’s hatred of Donald Trump has emboldened them to do something that several years ago was unthinkable. They have now mainstreamed socialism in the Democrat Party. Of course, there have always been socialists in the party. Bernie Sanders has made no secret of his socialism, but there was little chance he was going to get the nomination for president. That’s all changing.

Kamala Harris, the Democrat senator from California, is the odds-on favorite to win the Democrat nomination for president in 2020. She’s also an unapologetic dyed-in-the-wool socialist. She recently told Jake Tapper from CNN, referring to the private health insurance market, “Let’s eliminate all of that. Let’s move on.” Her remarks caused hardly a ripple at the other networks and warranted only passing coverage. Perhaps Kamala Harris is too liberal for even the left-wing media.

We know she was too liberal for gun-grabbing potential presidential contender Michael Bloomberg. He said her idea of Medicare for All would bankrupt America. That doesn’t seem to matter to the left. The main proponent of Medicare for All is Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. She has all sorts of radical ideas like taxing those at the ‘tippy top’ at 70 percent and making a college education free for everyone. A recent Axios poll showed that 74 percent of Democrats would vote for her for president were she old enough to run. There’s even a movement afoot to amend the Constitution so she can run.

This sharp and open turn to the left by the Democrats is due to their perception that the country hates Donald Trump. Presuming that the Republicans will stick with him in 2020, the Democrats see their chance to lurch to the left and turn America into a European-style socialist state. Trump Derangement Syndrome has not only exposed the latent insanity that has been simmering just below the surface in many liberals, it has also exposed their true intentions.

Their hatred for Donald Trump goes way beyond anything personal. He’s actually accomplishing things Republicans have merely dreamed of. Look at the economy. Despite the continual predictions of impending doom, the economy continues to startle the experts with its robustness. Unemployment hovers near a 50-year low. Hispanic and black unemployment are both at record lows. The president jumped 19 points in popularity with Hispanics during the government shutdown over the wall. All of this flies in the face of the conventional wisdom that Trump is the most hated man on the planet. He’s the most hated man by the media and they amplify that every day, but that doesn’t make it so.

Recent polls have shown President Trump at or above where Barack Obama was in popularity at the same point in his presidency. That fact gets no press whatsoever. I will be the first to admit that Trump has a nasty habit of stepping on his own message. I also believe the left continually underestimates him. 

The upcoming State of the Union address will be a turning point in his presidency. I believe he will lay out a rational argument to the American people of just how bad things are at the Mexican border and why we need a wall. I also believe he will declare a national emergency before the end of February and we will start building that wall. Much of it will be completed in the next year and we will start to see a drastic reduction in crime and drugs and all the nasty things an open border brings. And Kamala Harris’s socialism will look like Venezuela by comparison.

Pulling back the curtain on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

OK, we’ve had our fun with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. It’s time to stop pretending that she’s relevant. Or even serious. Sure, she took the left-wing media by storm when she unseated the chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. That was quite a feat. Joe Crowley had been there for 20 years and had climbed the ranks of power, but his defeat was a local issue in the Bronx.

The left-wing media have blown her all out of proportion. Why? Because she’s a socialist just like they are. It also helps immensely that she’s a) young, and b) attractive. Liberal, young, and hot are three attributes that make a politician absolutely irresistible to the media. However, AOC is devoid of any substance, despite constant appearances on late night television and cable news.

She has equated the fight against global warming to that of defeating the Nazis in World War II. She believes we should ‘mobilize and industrialize our entire economy’ to fight it, just like we did during the war. The Nazis were real. Global warming isn’t. We could actually see Hitler and the Nazis marching across Europe. The left chases this phantom of global warming without a shred of evidence. All you have to do to shut them down is ask them to prove it. They look at you with anger and frustration as if you’d just asked them to prove the Easter Bunny is real. If you believe even half of the rhetoric of the Branch Algorians, you can’t really think that retooling our entire economy to fight it is a good idea.

Speaking of World War II, AOC compared the migrants fleeing Central America with victims of the Holocaust. Maybe you believe most of these people are refugees from violence (which they’re not), you still can’t possibly equate them to 6 million Jews being gasses by the Nazis. But, of course, if you’re trying to gin up hysteria you can.

AOC came out with the claim that the Pentagon had lost over $21 trillion. Even the left-wing media were skeptical. Jake Tapper at CNN called her out on the numbers. She couldn’t produce any evidence to support her accusation. She made the point to illustrate that we could fund Medicare for All, her communist plan to take over the medical sector, at 66 percent with just the lost money from the Pentagon. Problem is the entire military budget for a year is barely over a half-trillion dollars. In fact, experts estimate that we haven’t spent $21 trillion on the military in the entire history of the country, must less lost that much.

Now the Bronx Braintrust is at it again on global warming. During a Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration she said, “And we’re, like, the world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change.” The crowd applauded in agreement. Then she asked, “Your biggest issue is how are we going to pay for it? And, like, this is the war, this is our World War II.”

Um, like, Alexandria, the world is not going to end in 12 years. This is the same bovine scatology that Al Gore’s been pushing for 30 years or more. It’s always 10 or 12 years in the future. Then the future arrives and nothing happens and the crazy people who worship at the altar of Al Gore act like it was never said.

I’m going to be brutally honest, because somebody has to be. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is cute, but she’s nuts. It’s time to actually start listening to what she says.

The coup attempt on Trump

OK, so now Donald Trump is a Russian agent? You’d think so by the mainstream media coverage. The New York Times ran a story that the FBI was investigating Trump right after his firing of James Comey for wittingly or unwittingly being a secret agent for the Russians. It was ridiculous on its face, but given the timing and who was involved it makes sense.

Andrew McCabe

Andrew McCabe became acting FBI director in the wake of Comey’s firing. He launched the investigation between the time of the firing and the time Rod Rosenstein named Robert Mueller as the special counsel. We now know from discovered text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and his lover, Lisa Page, that there was essentially a coup attempt going on. They reference “Andy” in their text messages. It’s presumed they’re talking about McCabe. Two hours after Comey’s firing Strzok sent Page this message: “We need to open the case we’ve been waiting on now while Andy is acting (director). Page replied, “We need to lock in (redacted). In a formal chargeable way. Soon.”

Strzok and Page refused to clarify the exchange in testimony before Congress. I can imagine so. If the texts reference what we think they reference it could very well be treasonous. What’s interesting is James Comey appears not to be part of this plot. The man most vilified in all of this was apparently not open to trying to unseat Trump. Note that Strzok said they needed to open the case against Trump now that Comey was gone and McCabe was acting director. They knew their window would be short since the president would be naming a permanent replacement for Comey soon. 

A case can also be made that Rod Rosenstein was part of the conspiracy. Remember it was Rosenstein, according to McCabe’s notes, who floated the idea of secretly taping Trump and using the 25th Amendment to oust him from office. Apparently once McCabe’s fellow traveler had put his man, Mueller, in place there was no longer a need to investigate Trump as a Russian agent. The cabal had their full hooks in the investigation once Mueller was on board.

What the mainstream media chose to omit when serving as an echo chamber for the Times was the FBI found no evidence that Trump was a Russian agent, either wittingly or unwittingly. This was simply a vehicle used by rogue elements inside the FBI to try and topple the Trump presidency.

But where’s the investigation of that? The spineless Republicans who had every opportunity to build a wall and fully repeal Obamacare also fumbled the biggest story so far this century. There is ample evidence that key people inside the FBI were doing everything they could to end the Trump presidency. No one in the mainstream media is the least bit curious. The Republicans who run the national apparatus of the party in Washington appear to be equally disinterested. It’s probably because they don’t like Trump any more than the media or the Democrats. He’s an embarrassment. Why? Because he’s actually getting things done. He’s actually going about the task of fulfilling his campaign promises.

The dirty little secret in Washington is the people who pull the strings love the status quo. They have a you-scratch-my-back-I’ll-scratch-your-back mentality. This is why, on the key issues, there’s rarely ever much movement. The Republicans in charge want to continue that status quo just as much as the Democrats do.

Donald Trump came to town to bust up the club. And he must be stopped at any cost.
