Several of my employees were students at FSU or FAMU. I couldn't believe the Food Stamp (well....EBT) situation. College students whipping out their EBT cards, living and nice apartments and not dorms and getting this. My daughter went to college a few years ago and no one ever mentioned that she could get food stamps. She borrowed and paid her way thru college, and she didn't go hungry! I never understood why these students get this benefit. Some people may think it's ok but I don't at all. EBT should do what it was intended to do, help for a short time until they can get back on their feet.<br />Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-46850629373635665532013-03-14T19:00:22.936-05:002013-03-14T19:00:22.936-05:00It just makes me angry that people spend their mon...It just makes me angry that people spend their money on alcohol and cigarettes and then talk about how broke they are! I drink every once in a while and was raised by smoking parents, we didn't have a lot but we didn't go without either and they never borrowed because they spent their money on cigarettes. It's all about discipline, or lack thereof!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-24915724361183378722013-03-12T15:12:11.195-05:002013-03-12T15:12:11.195-05:00If we encouraged their "bad" habits more...If we encouraged their "bad" habits more, wouldn't there be less of them sooner?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
