The global warming alarmists have told us <a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150912124604/http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/snowfalls-are-now-just-a-thing-of-the-past-724017.html" target="_blank">snow was a thing of the past</a>. How utterly ridiculous that looks now. We're mired in snow and record cold across much of the country. So what do the global warming alarmists have to say for themselves? This is climate change. Ah, yes, the old switcheroo they do every time global warming doesn't go their way. </p><p>And another term they're fond of: polar vortex. This is supposed to be some freak of nature where global warming gets above the cold air and pushes it southward until we're turned upside down weatherwise and Alaska is like summer and we're in a deep freeze in the Lower 48. Well, let's take a gander, shall we? The low tonight in Chicago will be 14 degrees. By Friday it'll be 1. The low tonight in Nashville is 28. By Friday it'll be 9. In Bettles, Alaska, the northernmost part of the state, it's -26 tonight. By Friday the low will be -33. So much for the polar vortex.</p><p>But this is where the global warming crazies get dangerous. In Amarillo, Texas they've had bone-chilling temperatures in the single digits. The power company there brags that 30 percent of their power comes from wind turbines. Well, guess what. The wind turbines are frozen. Now they're having to institute rolling blackouts because they can't generate enough power. This is where global warming takes you. It takes you to absurdity. People freezing in their own houses don't give a damn about your righteous cause to save the planet from CO2, which is actually plant food and beneficial to the planet. They want warmth. They want power. They want all the things afforded a civilization in the 21st century, and the global warming zealots want to save the planet from some phantom crisis they claim, nauseously, is an "existential threat." No, THEY are the existential threat!</p><p>Anyone who still believes in this boogeyman of bovine scatology should be made to live in perpetual blackout.</p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com93tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-83590204197429027362021-01-12T14:50:00.005-06:002021-01-12T14:57:32.441-06:00News Update: GoDaddy and AR15.com<p><b>UPDATE: </b></p><p>Tuesday January 12, 2021</p><p>I contacted GoDaddy today, and they tell me that they don't host AR15.com. The revolution didn’t begin on January 6 with the Capitol riots. Anyone who tells you violence is the solution is dead wrong. The paper patriots who thump their chests and call for some sort of violent overthrow of government are leading you astray. They don’t have a plan. Theirs is an anger-driven reaction that goes absolutely nowhere.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I get the anger. I’m angry too. There has yet to be a full accounting of what happened in the November election. There was undoubtedly voter fraud. Was it enough to change the actual results of the election? We may never know, but burning your own country to the ground, like the left has been doing for the last eight months, is not the answer.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The true revolution began on January 8. It’s the Big Tech Revolt. When Twitter permanently banned President Trump from its platform it finally awakened at least half of the country as to just how powerful and just how dangerous these big tech companies are. That’s not to excuse everything Trump has tweeted, but squelching free speech should be met with outrage and action.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlMdFPBG06MmzqKGxVHk8Jvh04_0sXJIbS7ZANfOICQHF8kRiUnZH-hS_s4klzj5I-ktTjmOTUirOYmpK7xqtd-NZSOPO0dICCNZBPbITfsUfqwXTMw2QRWFoHcnXXILECIAG47foWoDpo/s418/Break+fake+news.png" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="418" data-original-width="418" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlMdFPBG06MmzqKGxVHk8Jvh04_0sXJIbS7ZANfOICQHF8kRiUnZH-hS_s4klzj5I-ktTjmOTUirOYmpK7xqtd-NZSOPO0dICCNZBPbITfsUfqwXTMw2QRWFoHcnXXILECIAG47foWoDpo/s320/Break+fake+news.png" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: times;">It’s not enough for Facebook and Twitter and their willing accomplices in Big Tech to de-platform conservatives. They have to destroy any competition that would allow that free speech to continue. They’ve colluded to destroy Parler. Parler’s only crime was they acted as a true platform, allowing anyone and everyone to speak their mind. For that they must be destroyed. Google and Apple have purged their sites of any access to Parler’s app. Amazon has blocked their computer servers. Third-party vendors used by Parler have joined in the conspiracy. There should be an immediate remedy from the courts. In the meantime, freedom-loving people at these Big Tech companies should leave and join the Big Tech Revolution. They need to offer their expertise and talents to keep free speech alive, not continue to be part of the suppression.</span><p></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><span style="font-family: times;">The irony is that at least some of the met-ups for the Trump protests and the Antifa forces that infiltrated them were on Facebook. No one took action against Facebook. Google and Apple later justified their actions of banning the Parler app because Parler allowed people to talk openly about the riot on their platform. The big question is where was law enforcement? If these plans to storm the Capitol were so openly encouraged on social media why weren’t they prepared for it. Even more bizarre, why were some police officers actually opening the doors to the Rotunda and allowing people in?</span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Most reasonable people can agree that storming the Capitol was an outrage. Those who took part in it and those who continue to support it are leading you down a blind alley. They don’t have a plan. Obviously their only short-term plan was to have themselves childishly photographed sitting in seats of power. This was no insurrection, as the left and the mainstream media have tried to portray it. CHAD, CHAZ, or CHOP—or whatever they settled on as a name for the occupying of the police precinct in Seattle last summer—was an insurrection, and liberals from all quarters supported it. People like Kamala Harris tweeted encouragement to bail out rioters. Another incredible irony is that Nancy Pelosi told NPR back in June in reference to the mob that had surrounded the White House, “Using billy clubs and tear gas takes us to the status of banana republic.” No, Nancy, squelching free speech does.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But let’s not take our eye off the ball. This is a revolution, but it’s a revolution of the free market. You have the power. Don’t listen to the paper patriots. They will only lead you to ruin. Use the power you have. Stop patronizing entities that work to end free speech. Stop complaining about Facebook on Facebook. Stop tweeting your outrage on Twitter. Stop feeding the beast that wants to eat you.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b><br /></b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><br /><b><br /></b></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times;"><br style="font-family: Times; text-align: left;" /></span></p><p></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-66018723405564949822021-01-07T08:36:00.002-06:002021-01-07T08:42:55.833-06:00Don't be like the Hillary people<p>It's amazing the similarities between the angered Trump people this go-around and the Hillary folks last time. I get it. There was obviously voter fraud. The only pertinent question all along is was there enough voter fraud to change the election? We may never know. The courts won't hear it. The media won't report it. So, what are we to do? Burn down the country because we <i>think</i> the election was stolen? Well, that's exactly what the left has been doing. Why are some people on the right prone to do the same thing?</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_d-4GBPx28o3Tlyj_OVNhNwsLtRlX_cPEmzn8AYQM2qpzsxTF4EYlihTzn8_JOSN_uD0hxN1HLJGF0MiM9yFA5UlFaXjrwkBVpSKnfYEl4G9cBiZUUPyfpL_GBRvdL4MO7yFkrCdwt_aR/s1832/Capitol+violence.png" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="998" data-original-width="1832" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_d-4GBPx28o3Tlyj_OVNhNwsLtRlX_cPEmzn8AYQM2qpzsxTF4EYlihTzn8_JOSN_uD0hxN1HLJGF0MiM9yFA5UlFaXjrwkBVpSKnfYEl4G9cBiZUUPyfpL_GBRvdL4MO7yFkrCdwt_aR/s320/Capitol+violence.png" width="320" /></a></div>I've been fielding nasty emails all morning over the position I took on the Capitol riot. People keep telling me "the system has failed" and "it's time for a revolution." Who are you going to shoot first? These are mainly people blowing off steam. I'm told there's no other way to change the system other than through some sort of violent overthrow. They tell me the leftists control both the mainstream media and social media, and they're right. But violence isn't the way to change that. The free market is.<p></p><p>I'm actually amused at how many people are screaming about how the leftists control social media, and they're screaming it on Facebook. That's just like the Occupy Wall Street idiots who wrote long treatises about the evils of capitalism on their MacBook Pros while sipping Starbucks coffee. Speaking of which, I haven't been to a Starbucks in years. Have you? I have another question for you. Why are you still on Facebook? If I get a rotten meal at a restaurant I don't go back. Why do people constantly complain about Facebook and Twitter and then still go there? I don't get it.</p><p>There are viable alternatives. I'm on <a href="https://parler.com/profile/philvalentine/posts">Parler.com</a> and <a href="https://mewe.com/i/philvalentine">MeWe.com</a>. Why aren't you? We're in the process of moving all of our videos from YouTube to Rumble. If social media is such a problem, why do you still patronize them? You don't like how you're being treated, you go someplace else. This is how the free market works. It looks like we conservatives should understand the free market system better than anyone else. Trump gets suspended from Twitter. Why doesn't he leave Twitter and go to Parler? I have no idea.</p><p>As far as a violent revolution? You can count me out. Yeah, the leftists won this time. Probably cheated in the process. That doesn't mean you scrap the whole thing. Do you know who's in charge of these states where this voter fraud happened? Republican legislatures. They can—and should—immediately set up commissions to investigate the allegations of fraud. The lawsuits in states like PA that broke the law by not verifying signatures on mail-in ballots should continue non-stop until one actually gets heard. That's how you do it. You work within the system.</p><p>You wanna know something else? You wanna know why the Democrats now control the Senate? Because the Republicans put up two lackluster candidates in GA. The Republicans take rural conservatives for granted just like the Democrats do with black voters. They assume whoever they throw out there will be just fine because they're a Republican. If the Republicans are going to retake the House and Senate in two years they have to have stellar candidates, not the next in line or somebody who donates lots of money to the party.</p><p>Some people give up on this country way too easily. I think these are the people with anger issues. We see them on both sides. You've heard of Trump-deranged? We're already seeing Biden-deranged. Don't be like them. Have you been watching CNN? Have you been on Facebook? Then you're part of the problem. Stop complaining and start behaving like a true capitalist. You're worried about who has the power? YOU have the power. Use it.</p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b><br /></b></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-45147029568802673762020-12-23T05:24:00.001-06:002020-12-23T05:24:04.167-06:00The enabling of tyrants<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">You’ve seen it all over the country. Governors shut down businesses and force their citizens to shelter at home while they’re out maskless at fine restaurants or wine bars. It’s the ultimate in do as I say, not as I do. So, why aren’t the citizens of these states as outraged as they should be? Because the federal government keeps bailing out tyrants.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdzeUdcYHij9s7fzDQrKZblkuVBkoCBLwUYwho2k3mrjJ6nkKnW87lOi2ddmrJp0yb49A7UBbHFcMBaWlGfkQ23O85oJ1KN8otnqYmQ5ongsYEHFG-8vQ5MAKpYKgXFm52MUqgHERGW3ki/s2048/Tyranny.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1398" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhdzeUdcYHij9s7fzDQrKZblkuVBkoCBLwUYwho2k3mrjJ6nkKnW87lOi2ddmrJp0yb49A7UBbHFcMBaWlGfkQ23O85oJ1KN8otnqYmQ5ongsYEHFG-8vQ5MAKpYKgXFm52MUqgHERGW3ki/s320/Tyranny.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-family: times;">We’re staring down the barrel of a $28 trillion debt. I don’t care what you think of this COVID crisis and who should pay, that is totally unsustainable. Everybody looks to Washington for a solution when Washington isn’t the problem. At least not this time.</span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Yes, at the beginning of this pandemic you had the federal government grounding airlines and urging states to shutter businesses. The feds paid for it with stimulus checks and oversized unemployment benefits. I said from Day One we were giving people an incentive not to work, but when has Congress ever listened to common sense?</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Now Congress is doing it again, only this time it’s not the federal government’s fault. It’s the fault of cities and states who haven’t figured out that what they’ve been doing just isn’t working.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I remember when Governor Cuomo quipped that 90 percent of the people who were showing up at the ER with COVID were people who were sheltering at home. What did he do? He doubled down on sheltering at home. The problem was people weren’t going outside and were becoming vitamin D deficient. Studies have shown that 80 percent of the people hospitalized with COVID are vitamin D deficient. Have you heard Drs. Fauci or Birx urge you to get your vitamin D level checked? No. They just continue to scream at you to wear a mask.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">No matter what the so-called experts tell you, masks simply don’t work. They actually give you a false sense of security. People believe they're bullet-proof from COVID if they just wear a mask, so they get too close to people with COVID for too long and they come down with it themselves.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Understand one thing. There are only two things that will protect you from COVID: time and distance. If you stay away from people and limit the time you are in contact with people to five minutes or less you greatly reduce your risk of contracting this virus.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But local and state governments, much like Cuomo back in June, still don’t get it. They close or greatly curtail restaurants. In Nashville there are over 5,000 restaurants. There has not been a single COVID outbreak at any of them. Isn’t that amazing? Don’t trust me. Check with the Metro Health Department. They release, periodically, the places where COVID is spreading. Not one restaurant is listed. There are several bars. That makes sense. You’re closer than six feet for more than 15 minutes. Where are you ever closer than six feet for over 15 minutes at a restaurant, except with the people you came with? Exactly. The Trump Administration is calling it a modern miracle, but it is much more than that. This vaccine is a testament to President Trump’s ability as a businessman to get things done. This is one of the reasons he was elected in the first place. If anyone else had been elected instead, say Hillary Clinton, we would still be wandering around in a daze with draconian lockdowns and probably millions dead. There’s no way Hillary would’ve shut down travel from China, which means the death toll would probably be closer to the original estimates of 2-2.5 million.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Does Trump get credit? Not hardly. I will say that Jake Tapper threw him a bone on CNN, but that was an anomaly. Most news outlets ignore his gargantuan contribution to mankind. Instead, people like Andrew Cuomo of New York cast doubt on the safety of the vaccine. Not because of science, but because of Trump.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikXuFeJRpmEzSPAfpQqidDQ8Bgyn7eppbZ4vGYVT3atQ3OjP-A4MSss9GK8_MygIqAsWj67fuzsnIECEBpko5w14xB1yBZ6DFRNLU4UNXKLT5mgY8m_rcnVgNGs-fdKC44RcpHT9EFfBrI/s1280/Vaccine.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikXuFeJRpmEzSPAfpQqidDQ8Bgyn7eppbZ4vGYVT3atQ3OjP-A4MSss9GK8_MygIqAsWj67fuzsnIECEBpko5w14xB1yBZ6DFRNLU4UNXKLT5mgY8m_rcnVgNGs-fdKC44RcpHT9EFfBrI/s320/Vaccine.jpeg" width="320" /></a></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But the vaccine isn’t for everyone. The British have already warned that if you’re prone to allergic reactions you should stay away from it. The people who instinctively believe that the government is the solution to everything are already talking vaccination mandates. This should be a personal choice. We’ve heard for decades that it’s your body, your choice when it comes to abortion. Not so when it comes to a vaccine. Alan Dershowitz went so far as to say that you don’t have a right to infect someone else with COVID. Let’s use some logic and common sense. If I decide not to get vaccinated, I’m not putting anyone else’s life in danger except perhaps people who have made the same decision. With this thing being 95 percent effective, there’s really no way I’m going to infect someone who’s had the shot. That’s if I even get the virus.</span></div><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I’m not an anti-vaxxer. I’m just using common sense. What are my odds of getting COVID? They’re pretty low. What are my odds of dying from COVID if I do get it? Probably way less than one percent. I’m doing what everyone should do and that’s my own personal health risk assessment. If you have underlying health issues you probably need to get the vaccine. If you’re not at high risk of dying from COVID then you’re probably safer not getting it. That evokes shrieks of horror from many, but it’s true. I’m weighing the known versus the unknown.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">People like Dr. Anthony Fauci are talking about developing vaccinations for children. There is no way a child should be getting this vaccination. They’re at very low risk of getting the virus, and they have practically no chance of dying from it. The only children who should ever consider this vaccine are those with underlying health issues that put them at risk of dying from COVID.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Fauci’s also saying we’re going to have to wear the masks through all of next year. Why? Once this vaccine is distributed to those most at risk the death toll will drop to near zero. Once that happens, this thing is over, for all intents and purposes. Will people still get it? Sure, but they won’t be dying from it, and that’s really all that matters.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">People get the cold and flu every cold and flu season. We don’t shut down the country for it, although maybe now we do. Maybe we’ve reached the new normal where the government tells you every move to make. Not me. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m going back to America.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b><br /></b></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p><span style="font-family: times;"><br style="font-family: Times;" /></span></p><p></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com161tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-78722557133782764232020-12-09T09:49:00.004-06:002020-12-09T09:49:38.412-06:00Why election fraud matters<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">It can be damaging to your reputation these days to even consider that there was election fraud in the November 3 election. News networks cast you as a tin-foil hat conspiracy theorist. So, it’s with that risk in mind that I inform you, without reservation, that there definitely was voter fraud in this most recent election. The only thing left to determine is if it was enough to overturn the official results. It appears that it is.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDB3MBcTTxD3MU_VUGKy1XsxyZ8CGOwG2NnlO0-kJIIR-1jrQa5wmvzFmU2DlyF6yLFr1kPC1wwMGOFkx4IXABsugIJTAFz0sEppOl_G66qlBq-acsB8-GnMcBA7cQP80kbt_eAuIExlPm/s640/Voter+fraud+2.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDB3MBcTTxD3MU_VUGKy1XsxyZ8CGOwG2NnlO0-kJIIR-1jrQa5wmvzFmU2DlyF6yLFr1kPC1wwMGOFkx4IXABsugIJTAFz0sEppOl_G66qlBq-acsB8-GnMcBA7cQP80kbt_eAuIExlPm/s320/Voter+fraud+2.jpeg" width="320" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: times;">Consider Georgia, where everyone from the governor on down insists that they counted every vote three times. That sounds great, unless you consider that over 10,000 of those votes were cast by dead people. According to President Trump’s legal team, over 66,000 were cast by voters who were under the age of 18 on Election Day, the legal voting age. That’s not counting all the felons and out-of-state voters, which number in the tens of thousands. The officials in Georgia don’t seem the least bit interested in exploring Team Trump’s contention that illegal votes were cast. They just keep repeating that they counted every vote—thrice. Recounting a flawed vote count will only give you the same flawed result.</span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span class="s1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">Then there’s Pennsylvania. A state law</span>—Act 77—did away with the need for listing an excuse to receive an absentee ballot. The only problem is the Pennsylvania state constitution specifically lays out the excuses one must make to vote absentee. A law cannot circumvent the state constitution. Only a constitutional amendment can do that. Didn’t seem to matter to the U.S. Supreme Court. They refused to hear the lawsuit. Apparently they were swayed by state officials who argued throwing out illegal ballots would “sow chaos” across the country. The court’s duty is not to weigh the threat of chaos. It’s to follow the constitution. They failed.</span></p><p class="p4" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Several other states, including Michigan and Wisconsin have similar problems. So much so that the state of Texas took the extraordinary step of suing four states because changes they made in how ballots are cast. This whole mess needs to end up in the U.S. Supreme Court. The question is whether they’ll have the courage to take it on. SCOTUS involving itself in a presidential election is not without precedent. They did so in Gore v. Bush in 2000. They essentially told the Florida state supreme court that they couldn’t allow Democrat counties to keep counting ballots until Gore won. For some reason they’re hesitant to involve themselves in this one.</span></p><p class="p4" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Is the Swamp so deep in DC that justice is no longer attainable? It appears so. Again, I have no idea if there’s enough voter fraud to overturn the official results. Neither does anyone else. That’s why our system should be diligently trying to get at the truth. It doesn’t appear that it is. It appears that the establishment is protecting the establishment.</span></p><p class="p4" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Can you imagine the outrage if 66,000 underage votes were cast in Georgia and the state went for Trump? Would there be calls from the mainstream media to investigate? You bet. It shouldn’t matter who benefited from voter fraud. The fact that it exists should trouble us all, no matter your party affiliation. This goes to the very foundation of our republic. And we’re a republic, by the way, and not a democracy. Democracy is essentially mob rule, and our founding fathers were more afraid of that than any other form of government. They knew that mob rule would cater to the whims of violent mobs.</span></p><p class="p4" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I say we’re not a democracy. Maybe we’re closer than I thought.</span></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b><br /></b></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><p><br /></p><p class="p3" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-58635320733605090142020-12-02T08:55:00.001-06:002020-12-02T08:55:37.643-06:00Diversity means nothing without excellence<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">America was built on exceptionalism. Many believe diversity is our primary asset. It’s not. Diversity’s great, but it’s only great when it happens organically. Forcing diversity never leads to greatness. Conversely, neither does discrimination. Both short-circuit the free market. Imagine how much faster this country would’ve advanced had it not been for discrimination. Countless black Americans were held back and held down because of prejudice. There’s no telling what we would’ve accomplished as a nation had that not been the case.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoWq8v5b2CSneugG2eNoUYqpEB77-5ToUIubHSnlX8231eSrDCM-M_DfllDEc_TDSXwejzrRvhc6d_OPPAeCMGbW30ds-WUpt-EvTI3PSGc8HWBPyQomajKCZtH5ABxk8jxu4z827TM8LY/s840/Vanderbilt+kicker.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="560" data-original-width="840" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoWq8v5b2CSneugG2eNoUYqpEB77-5ToUIubHSnlX8231eSrDCM-M_DfllDEc_TDSXwejzrRvhc6d_OPPAeCMGbW30ds-WUpt-EvTI3PSGc8HWBPyQomajKCZtH5ABxk8jxu4z827TM8LY/s320/Vanderbilt+kicker.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-family: times;"><div style="text-align: justify;">So, it was with much concern that I read that the Nasdaq, the second-largest U.S. stock exchange, filed a proposal with the SEC to <a href="https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2020/12/01/nasdaq-wants-to-require-racial-and-sex-identity-diversity-quotas-for-corporate-boards/" target="_blank">mandate corporations</a> have two ‘diverse directors’ on their boards. They want to require one who ‘identifies’ as a woman, and one who represents the GBLT community. What does this have to do with excellence? Nothing.</div></span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Nasdaq says three-quarters of the companies on its exchange right now would fall short. That means a massive makeover of boards of directors across the country if this thing goes through. And for what purpose? To allow some guy who wears a dress to be on the board? What does that have to do with anything?</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">We can expect much more of this in a Biden administration. I’m not saying this current play by Nasdaq is Joe’s fault. What I’m saying is this is the culture that’s been created by the left and Biden is more than happy to play into it.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Corporate America is obsessed with diversity. Again, I think diversity is great, but it’s secondary to excellence. If your workforce is primarily black or Hispanic or gay and these are the most qualified people out there then the system is working. There’s no doubt that, for many years, we had white folks in positions simply because they were white. We can all agree that was wrong. Then why would we now be doing the exact same thing, just with a different group of people? If discrimination is wrong, it’s wrong. It doesn’t matter who’s doing the discriminating, nor does it matter who’s being discriminated against. I’ve often said you don’t right the wrongs of the past by wronging the people of the present.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Let’s examine this policy the Nasdaq wants to force on corporate America. If you have two people on each board—one who identifies as a woman and one who’s gay or lesbian or transgender—then that means two people who are qualified might not be on the board. That’s not to say that a woman or a gay person or a lesbian or a crossdresser isn’t qualified. It’s only to say that being a woman or a gay person or a lesbian or a crossdresser isn’t in and of itself a qualification.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I wonder how many people who own stock in these companies give a rat’s rump about a board member’s gender or sexual preference. Not many. You would think we would evolve as a society to a point where none of that matters. Instead we’ve devolved to a point where that’s all that matters. We have now put excellence in the back seat. Being the best no longer means anything. It’s all about being diverse.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Vanderbilt’s football team fielded the first female player at a Power Five conference. Hysteria poses as science in order to exert control. It’s happened over and over again in this country, and many of the same people still fall for it. Are you deliberately misleading people when you spout off about how humans are destroying the planet with CO2? Most are not. Most have just fallen for the line that there’s a ‘scientific consensus.’ Of course, there is no such thing. Even if there were, consensus doesn’t equal science. Ask for people who believe in manmade global warming to provide proof and they can’t. They just fall back on the line of ‘scientific consensus.’</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKcGxdYb8Qw8CC2m_FleslrxMU-DEWsREexTWlBmTFnrGywNbt8cut7PSkKxmd2CuiBSv0CfXoUGJBLiPtNLxj-_OeAH4PlzObJdnqy-k9F4cHMgLV6F4mDYGbnSqnC-7Vlp_437Yiu85C/s1280/Freak+Out.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="720" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKcGxdYb8Qw8CC2m_FleslrxMU-DEWsREexTWlBmTFnrGywNbt8cut7PSkKxmd2CuiBSv0CfXoUGJBLiPtNLxj-_OeAH4PlzObJdnqy-k9F4cHMgLV6F4mDYGbnSqnC-7Vlp_437Yiu85C/s320/Freak+Out.jpeg" width="320" /></a></span></div><span style="font-family: times;">We saw the same thing with the ozone scare several decades ago. The world came together to sign the Montreal Protocol in 1987 to ban CFCs. However, in 1991, long before most countries phased in their bans, the thinning of the ozone miraculously stopped. We now know that things like volcanos are far more responsible than humans for any hole in the ozone. In fact, CFC gases are four times heavier than air, so it’s unlikely that anything humans have emitted from their air conditioners ever made it the nine to eighteen miles to the ozone layer. But we certainly freaked out.</span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">We’re seeing the same thing with face masks. Masks are the new global warming. I remember when health officials told us under no circumstances were we to wear a mask. Mask Nazis were caught on camera screaming at mask-wearers in grocery stores. How quickly times changed. Suddenly the mask Nazis were screaming at people for </span><i style="font-family: times;">not</i><span style="font-family: times;"> wearing masks.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Recently, a man claiming to have COVID spit at two ladies hiking outdoors in the mountains because they weren’t wearing masks. I know. It’s getting crazy. Do masks protect you from COVID? There’s no evidence of that. Do they keep you from spreading it if you have it? Little evidence of that either. A new Danish study showed that people wearing masks contracted COVID at a rate of about 2 percent. People without masks contracted COVID at a rate of about 2 percent.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">We’ve seen COVID cases surging across the country in the expected second wave. We knew it was coming because we could see what was happening in Europe. The interesting thing is the surge is happening everywhere, regardless of mask mandates. Proponents of masks will pick and choose data to show mask-mandated areas are dealing with the second wave better, but that data changes daily, and it’s easy to freeze-frame your window of choice to make your case.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The state of Tennessee is buying ad time to run a PSA urging people to wear a mask. The ad features an elderly farmer who talks about never missing a harvest and never missing a Sunday church service. He also has high blood pressure and diabetes. He says he chooses to live his life, and that’s why he wears a mask. A more irresponsible public health message in the COVID era could not have been conceived. We all know that the people who are dying are the elderly and those with underlying health issues. This man checks all the boxes, yet he’s encouraging people like himself to continue to live their lives, but just wear a mask. Evidence shows a mask will do nothing to protect him from COVID.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">A recent CDC study found 85 percent of people with COVID were wearing masks. Use your common sense. If you’re at risk of dying from COVID, stay away from others until this thing is gone. That’s the <i>only</i> thing that will protect you.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b><br /></b></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br /><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-42274197242689883472020-11-23T07:17:00.000-06:002020-11-23T07:17:31.212-06:00Beware the zealots<p> </p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Zealotry is tearing this country apart. Extremists on both the right and the left make it nearly impossible for reasonable people to be heard. I’ve taken a lot of heat from my radio listeners for demanding proof that the election was stolen. It’s easy just to chant “Stop the Steal,” but it’s another thing altogether to prove it. There are too many who don’t want to wait for proof. They’ve already jumped to the conclusion that the election was stolen.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLrceu4Fbq1Qm4mBmJUiSzipUyPD4wrdEOH7s4T6Q-r3ajoPA9z1tL7WFQTnLFgn1G0ZmLJDieGRctb8yVcfA-NGrVSFww2hc9Fesa7QAhrF8e-6yHIK37Hjqa7TtchEFE8UdQCr1x-4t5/s240/No+Zealots.png" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="240" data-original-width="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhLrceu4Fbq1Qm4mBmJUiSzipUyPD4wrdEOH7s4T6Q-r3ajoPA9z1tL7WFQTnLFgn1G0ZmLJDieGRctb8yVcfA-NGrVSFww2hc9Fesa7QAhrF8e-6yHIK37Hjqa7TtchEFE8UdQCr1x-4t5/s0/No+Zealots.png" /></a></div>There are also extremists on the other side, some even reside at Fox News, who believe it’s necessary to qualify any allegation of voter fraud with the disclaimer “unfounded.” Eric Shawn at Fox News is the worst. When Christine Blasey Ford accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her, did Shawn and others qualify her accusation as “unfounded?”<p></p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">We don’t yet know what transpired in the recent 2020 election. Social media censoring tweets and posts and news reporters discounting anyone who questions the results does not illuminate the issue. Nor does assuming the election was stolen without any hard proof.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Zealots illuminate the edges of insanity. In a way they do the rest of us a service by clearly showing where the side of the cliff is. That doesn’t mean the truth lives in the mushy middle. It means that reasonable people can stand just to the right or left of center and disagree, but disagree reasonably.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Most of the zealotry we’ve witnessed lately in this country comes from the left. Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other radical groups seek to sow disunity while simultaneously calling for unity. Unity to them means you drop any opposition to them and acquiesce.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Now the shoe is on the other foot. The aggrieved are now the 73 million people who voted for Donald Trump, and they’re expected to go quietly into the night. The Trump voters have reason to be angry. Make no mistake, there was voter fraud in the 2020 election. We have multiple instances of dead people voting. We have some counties where over 100 percent of the registered Democrats voted. There was fraud. The question is if there was enough voter fraud to overturn the results of the election. That remains to be seen.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Of Trump’s legal team, Sidney Powell has made the most compelling case. She has a sworn affidavit from someone who worked for the software company that supplies the software to the Dominion voting machines used in many states. This whistleblower says the developers built in a back door to allow tampering. If true, that’s a very serious accusation, but it’s going to take more than just that to prove voter fraud. If a back door was built in, you have to prove that someone used it. And you have to prove that they used it widely enough to change the results of the election. That’s a tall order. It doesn't help her case that the Trump legal team has now distanced itself from her. She either has the proof or she doesn't. Some aren't waiting around to see.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">A woman called into my radio show suggesting it was time for “patriots” to do what the left has been doing and burn the country down. What the extremists on the left have been trying to do is destroy the country. Patriots—real patriots—should be trying to preserve it. You don’t preserve a nation by burning it down. Yes, I’m well aware of Thomas Jefferson’s quote that “the tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.” Jefferson also meant that as a last resort.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">This election process is not yet over. Lawsuits and recounts are as much of the process as the actual voting. If your side feels as if the election were not fair, they have the right to bring their grievances to election officials, and, if necessary, take their case to the courts. The highest court in the land, the Supreme Court, should now be beyond question to conservatives. With Amy Coney Barrett on the bench, the constitutionalists should expect a reasoned opinion from six of the justices. Since John Roberts has been questionable in recent decisions, they should at least expect five voices of reason. That’s a majority. If President Trump’s case reaches the Supreme Court, which it’s likely to do, and at least five justices don’t see enough evidence of voter fraud to overturn the results of the election then it’s over. There should be no blood in the streets. This is how our system works. If you truly believe that conservatives such as Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito are in league with the left to steal the election then you are the textbook definition of a zealot.</p><p class="p2" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="-webkit-text-stroke-color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">It’s time to end zealotry and let the process play out. This narrative by the Democrats that voter fraud is a myth is, itself, a myth. We’ve always known it. Now we’re seeing it firsthand across the country.</p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8n4w1pX3DX4Gyznk6ZuoZBVTYNOhaRK4h_-SQYxbBFo5-y98CXLBIltPGZ8rt-Pe5fBbZI887pmwgv2AjqqhmIWoO2s2tl_-UCZ-7I0LgpdiD_Aiiw9OiDeUx74RATwTjnLJdFjr4APgR/s2048/Voter+Fraud.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1365" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8n4w1pX3DX4Gyznk6ZuoZBVTYNOhaRK4h_-SQYxbBFo5-y98CXLBIltPGZ8rt-Pe5fBbZI887pmwgv2AjqqhmIWoO2s2tl_-UCZ-7I0LgpdiD_Aiiw9OiDeUx74RATwTjnLJdFjr4APgR/s320/Voter+Fraud.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The Heritage Foundation keeps a database of voter fraud cases from every state. All one has to do is click on a state and see the documented, litigated, prosecuted cases of voter fraud. Everybody from “Wormy” Hodge buying votes in Tennessee (yeah, that’s what he actually calls himself) to Harry Sandoe Maxwell in Pennsylvania. Maxwell was enlisting people to sign absentee ballots on behalf of dead people. Wormy was a deputy who was buying votes in the sheriff’s race. His man won, but was subsequently removed from office. Wormy got probation and community service. Maxwell got probation and a $500 fine.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></div><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">And that’s the problem. Richard Pilger, DOJ’s head of Election Crimes Branch, resigned in protest. It’s interesting to note that Pilger was neck-deep in the <a href="https://nypost.com/2015/01/29/abcs-of-irs-mess-justice-department-is-tainted-too/" target="_blank">IRS scandal</a>. Investigations revealed that he had conspired with Lois Lerner at the IRS to target Tea Party organizations. How in the world this guy was still at DOJ is a mystery, but his departure may actually open up an avenue for genuine investigations into voter fraud. And remember, Barr says they’re investigating only accusations that may affect the outcome of the election. Any other cases of voter fraud will be deferred until after this election is settled and certified.</p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">So far the Republicans have collected <a href="https://pjmedia.com/election/megan-fox/2020/11/09/ronna-mcdaniel-presents-131-affidavits-2800-incident-reports-of-alleged-voter-fraud-in-mi-media-still-demands-evidence-n1134171" target="_blank">131 affidavits</a> representing over 2,800 incidents of voter fraud. The left-wing media shout at them for proof, but they refuse to interview even one person who has filed an affidavit of fraud. We need a federal law for federal elections. If the people in Monroe County, Tennessee want to let a guy off with a slap on the wrist for fixing a sheriff’s race then fine, but when it comes to elections that affect the rest of us there should be serious consequences. Congress should impose a minimum mandatory sentence of one year in jail for blatant voter fraud. I’m not talking about voting in the wrong district. I’m talking about willfully trying to change the outcome of a race. Then and only then will we put an end to voter fraud. The penalty has to make it not worth the risk. Maybe then we can restore the American people’s faith in our elections. </p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b style="color: black;"><br /></b></span></div><br /><p><br /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-8605705115523720182020-10-14T06:00:00.001-05:002020-10-14T06:00:08.505-05:00CDC buries data on masks<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">It’s becoming increasingly difficult to believe anything that comes from our health experts these days. The CDC released a study on September 11 that sought to discourage people from dining out. However, when you actually dig into the numbers of the study you find that fewer than half of the infected group they studied had actually done so. The control group, a similarly sized group who had visited a healthcare facility but who did not test positive for COVID, had a little less interaction with a restaurant. Therefore the study concluded that restaurants posed a higher risk. That may actually be true. It’s difficult to determine from one study.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The glaring omission from the study had to do with face masks. The vast majority of both groups (85 percent of the infected group and 89 percent of the control group) wore masks either often or always. Only about 3 percent from each group never wore a mask. Yet in one</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWE6JLG4LGyUQJ9G0S54OxHXclJcGpIyI2C417GglX-mJkbGAIdCjt-uf4fACvWyBCcvZVHhC7m-2-vgxNK2Uv4uZsZ89OxftOZ-_6GhR_-E08Ll6Ada5KmMeC5tdex5e-qI84OVHOCuJR/s2048/Phil+wearing+MAGA+mask.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><span style="font-family: times;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1539" data-original-width="2048" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWE6JLG4LGyUQJ9G0S54OxHXclJcGpIyI2C417GglX-mJkbGAIdCjt-uf4fACvWyBCcvZVHhC7m-2-vgxNK2Uv4uZsZ89OxftOZ-_6GhR_-E08Ll6Ada5KmMeC5tdex5e-qI84OVHOCuJR/s320/Phil+wearing+MAGA+mask.jpeg" width="320" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: times;"><br /> group you had infections and in the other you had none. That tells me much more about masks than it does about restaurants. The common denominator in both groups was a mask, which appeared to make absolutely no difference. About the same percentage of people in each group wore masks. One group had zero infections, the other had 100 percent infections.</span><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">It took a month for someone to actually notice this data inside the study. Who really reads the full study anyway? We rely on our news media to sift through these studies and tell us what’s in them. They failed us for a full month. Thank God some conservatives actually bothered to read the study or we might never have known.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">People ask me why I’m so against masks. I’m not. I’m against bovine scatology. When there’s good science to back something up I’m all in. I wear my seatbelt religiously because the stats show that I’m safer wearing one than not. We have no such stats for masks. And it’s not because the coronavirus is so new. There have been mask studies for years, and they all show pretty much the same. Face masks are virtually ineffective in stopping any kind of virus. Even the CDC and our so-called health experts like Drs. Fauci and Birx were telling us early on not to wear face masks, to save them for the health professionals. They told us then that masks were ineffective in stopping the spread of COVID, which led me to wonder why we were saving them for the health professionals.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Then they did a 180, and suddenly the mask Nazis who were screaming at you at the grocery store for wearing a mask and putting healthcare workers at risk were screaming at you for not wearing a mask.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">One of my sons asked me why it was conservatives were less likely to wear a mask. There are a couple of reasons. Conservatives tend to not like being told what to do. The other reason is conservatives tend to be independent thinkers. If you’re going to require them to do something you damn well better have a good reason. There just isn’t any scientific evidence to suggest wearing a mask stops the spread of COVID. In fact, there are dozens of graphs out there showing the COVID curve in various cities and countries. No matter at what stage the mask mandate came in, the curve spiked then ramped down the other side. There’s not an instance I’ve seen where masks made any difference.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I’m more than willing to follow the science. His concern was quite similar to the concerns of many others from whom I’ve heard over the last couple of years. The country is more divided than he’s ever seen it, he said. The insinuation was this was Trump’s fault. Although it coincides with Donald Trump’s election to the presidency it is not Trump’s fault.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">As I explained to this distressed listener, what we’re seeing across the country by way of riots is a manifestation of an utter panic that has set in on the far left. For decades they had Republicans who would go along to get along. Illegal immigration was only a matter of how much of it we tolerated, not a</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrtxKbRm31FceqheEC-EiP3OUamf3QYFFKyYdcp-IYN7GtLpd7BTuSX8RXiYTP9kvGAY-h90diVO7T_kKopIvYZjm7KZXeluhBlPE401GG3rbEb124RczLUy7XQGfyueo29ypLcJdeUkM_/s640/Crying+Snowflake.PNG" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="360" data-original-width="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgrtxKbRm31FceqheEC-EiP3OUamf3QYFFKyYdcp-IYN7GtLpd7BTuSX8RXiYTP9kvGAY-h90diVO7T_kKopIvYZjm7KZXeluhBlPE401GG3rbEb124RczLUy7XQGfyueo29ypLcJdeUkM_/s320/Crying+Snowflake.PNG" width="320" /></a></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">complete war on it. Illegal immigration is one of the means by which the left plans to totally transform (ie: destroy) the United States. Donald Trump vowed to stop it. Even though his plan has endured many roadblocks, we are now steadily building a wall across the porous sections of our Southern border, and stiffer enforcement of existing laws is discouraging the waves of illegals that we saw under Obama.</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">One of the overlooked aspects of Trump’s presidency is his handling of China. I don’t mean that it’s totally overlooked by the media. It’s being overlooked as a great source of disdain and consternation by the socialist/Marxist left in this country. Since the fall of the Soviet Union, Marxists have looked to China as one of the world’s last remaining utopias. These people truly want to turn the United States into China. Those groups would include Black Lives Matter, which is headed up by avowed communists who brag they are “trained Marxists,” and Antifa, which sells itself as an anti-fascist group, when in fact they are Marxists. Make no mistake that Marxism would be just as disastrous for this country as fascism.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The only problem with Antifa is they can’t really find any Nazis to fight. Sure, there are small groups of neo-Nazis scattered here and there, but they don’t even remotely pose a threat to our liberty and safety. Antifa does. They are the ones relentlessly burning cities that don’t have the backbone to confront them.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But who is really dividing the country? It’s liberals. They constantly pit rich against poor, gay against straight, white against black. It’s been their tactic for decades. Divide and conquer. They are masters at creating imaginary bogeymen. The mean old conservatives are going to take away your health care. The mean old conservatives are going to take away your abortion. The men old conservatives are going to take away (fill in the blank). It’s the Democrats and the liberals who are divisive. They attack Trump at every turn. His only sin (if you can even call it that) is returning fire ten-fold. The lesson is if you don’t want to be obliterated by Trump, don’t attack him first.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I understand people who are concerned about the turmoil in the country, but understand where this comes from. The left is in an all-out meltdown because Trump is actually taking action against them where other Republican presidents were afraid to. China is a classic example. What Trump has done with China needed to happen at least 20 years ago. No president—Republican or Democrat—was willing to take them on. As I’ve written before here in this space, I think Trump’s longterm goal is to bring the CCP to its knees as Reagan did with the Soviets.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Don’t misinterpret unrest for injustice. John Ratcliffe, the Director of National Intelligence, declassified information regarding the Crossfire Hurricane Investigation at the request of Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee. The newly declassified information points to a briefing by CIA Director Brennan for President Obama on information they had unearthed that Hillary was the source of the rumor that Trump was colluding with the Russians.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The left-wing media—those that bothered to report the story—tried to discredit it by saying that both Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Intelligence Committee had found no evidence that the story was true. Ironically, this was the same law firm for the Democrat Party. She labeled the payment to Perkins Coie as “legal services.” Sounds like money laundering to me. If we were to put together a list of suspects, who would be at the top of the list? That’s right, Hillary Clinton. She had the motive. She had the means. And we already know she paid for a bogus dossier that said what? That Trump colluded with the Russians. Hello! According to the declassified info from the DNI, someone in the intelligence community sent the info to then-FBI Director James Comey and then-Deputy Assistant Director of Counterintelligence Peter Strzok. Apparently they ignored it. No, they did more than ignore it. They went after Trump instead.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">There was never any serious evidence that Trump colluded with Russia. That’s obvious because there couldn’t be any serious evidence for something that simply wasn’t true. Yet Comey and Strzok continued to go after Trump. These were either two of the most inept cops to ever work for the FBI or two of the most corrupt. I’ll let you be the judge.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The question now is will anything come of the declassified information? Not likely. Comey was either unwilling or too scared to charge Hillary with obviously breaking the law in the e-mail server scandal. We know Peter Strzok’s problem. He had a serious case of Trump Derangement Syndrome.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The scariest part is the incurious media. You know what I always say. Media bias isn’t necessarily what they tell you, it’s what they don’t. Not telling you that Hillary was Suspect #1 the entire time in this whole charade is frightening. I’ve come to not believe anything I hear from the left-wing media unless I can independently confirm it. That’s probably a healthy way to operate. Unfortunately most people don’t have the time or inclination to confirm everything they read, hear, or see. And the mainstream media are counting on your ignorance. Please don’t give them the satisfaction.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><b style="color: black;"><br /></b></span></div>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-48475980857485834722020-09-16T06:00:00.001-05:002020-09-16T06:00:06.462-05:00The Ever-changing Democrat Message<p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the Democrats keep changing their message. Joe Biden’s primary campaign theme was COVID. He was trying to portray the president as inept and uncaring. Two things happened to that message. First, the virus is largely in our rearview mirror. Yes, there are certain cities that continue to want to politicize it, but the people are finally starting the realize the truth. It’s best summarized in a Swiss analysis of the virus. They found that if you’re of school age or working age you have a better chance of dying on the way to work or school than you do from coronavirus.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: times;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqyeodpI72aP6FYl4TdoPWIq5JL_nh2rdcR1lOiIhbwJJbtc2oM07L8qDnYfPaS3WB1HfsWvU84l8NJ6mS9sFMSKQfZ0Tp2uAvEekFCrvmTFWuGUAbW39E-8fsKmYgW0_1_XomOMDIIo-s/s630/Democrat+Soviet+logo.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="576" data-original-width="630" height="251" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqyeodpI72aP6FYl4TdoPWIq5JL_nh2rdcR1lOiIhbwJJbtc2oM07L8qDnYfPaS3WB1HfsWvU84l8NJ6mS9sFMSKQfZ0Tp2uAvEekFCrvmTFWuGUAbW39E-8fsKmYgW0_1_XomOMDIIo-s/w274-h251/Democrat+Soviet+logo.jpeg" width="274" /></a></span></div><p></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">That’s not to say that COVID isn’t deadly. It most certainly is. However it’s deadly if you’re in the high-risk groups. That would be the elderly and those with serious underlying health issues.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The other thing that happened to Biden’s COVID message was the Republican convention. For weeks the left-wing media had been telling their audiences the riots across America were actually peaceful. The media had to cover the RNC, and the speakers at the podium let the American public in on the truth. There were, in fact, riots all over America, and the rioters were people who wanted Joe Biden to be president.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The Friday after the convention, Biden switched messages. Yes, there were riots all across America, but they were Trump’s fault. This was Trump’s America. By then only the most braindead Biden supporter was buying that line. Everyone else knew the riots were, and are, aimed at police. What everyone doesn’t yet know is those behind the riots—Antifa and Black Lives Matters—are Marxist organizations that want to tear down America and rebuild it in the image of the Soviet Union.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">When the “Trump’s America” message failed the Democrats pivoted to their latest lame claim. The wildfires in the West are caused by global warming and Trump, in Biden’s words, is a “climate arsonist,” whatever that’s supposed to mean. What it unwittingly does is open the door to the truth. The wildfires in the West have nothing whatsoever to do with global warming or climate change. One of the fires that burned over 10,000 acres was set accidentally by fireworks at one of those ridiculous gender reveal parties. The others have been deliberately set by arsonists.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The left-wing media and some law enforcement agencies have tried to shoot down the theory that the arsonists are Antifa. The evidence is still coming in on that. What we do know is that some of those arrested have been seen at anti-police rallies. Logically one could conclude that they could very likely be Antifa. Time will tell. What we know definitively is the fires are not caused by global warming. Governor Gavin Newsom points to record heat in California, yet the all-time heat records for most every city in California remain intact. Plus, how does a hot day cause a fire? Does he believe the forests just spontaneously combust? No, the wildfires are from decades of forest mismanagement coupled with arson and stupidity. It’s a deadly combination.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The problem with the Democrats’ messages is they play catchup. The real danger is their own supporters. Do you really believe the guy who tried to assassinate the two deputies in Compton was a Trump supporter? And where was the condemnation from BLM? Where was the outrage from Antifa? There was neither condemnation nor outrage because they support it. They cheer it on.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The Democrats try to imagine all sorts of problems in America, but the problem is them.</span><span style="font-family: times;"> </span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space"><b style="font-family: times, "times new roman", serif;"><br /></b></span></div><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"></span></p><p><br style="font-family: times;" /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-56414755282320417382020-09-12T06:01:00.001-05:002020-09-12T06:01:27.042-05:00The Invisible Exploited Children<p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">What’s up with all the missing children lately? We saw the report of the U.S. Marshals’s Operation Not Forgotten which rescued 26 children and safely located another 13. They also arrested 26 adults. More recently Operation Homecoming found 8 more children in Indiana. Over the last few weeks, U.S. Marshals have found 72 missing children. That, however, is just a fraction of the children who go missing each year.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The FBI’s National Crime Information Center says there were 421,394 missing children last year. Many are caught up in custody disputes</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzTOVtDeFdHZI2aPlpY46ulEn3MzxOuY5PdPDkE1rQRwuHyHZ0YCKpew9NRWcMMXYQNcLKj7DhyiWHfOP8Q0t-2S-5ibFpHEq3ZreptwRgIqvNHimGvFQc6tdHpZEpq8nZ6ouL2u56DPdZ/s2048/Human+trafficking.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="205" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzTOVtDeFdHZI2aPlpY46ulEn3MzxOuY5PdPDkE1rQRwuHyHZ0YCKpew9NRWcMMXYQNcLKj7DhyiWHfOP8Q0t-2S-5ibFpHEq3ZreptwRgIqvNHimGvFQc6tdHpZEpq8nZ6ouL2u56DPdZ/w205-h205/Human+trafficking.jpeg" width="205" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">when one parent essentially kidnaps his or her own kids and goes on the run with them. Many of those children are never located. Too many children are kidnapped for the underground sex trade in this country. It’s unbelievable but true. Accurate numbers are hard to come by, but the State Department estimates between 15,000 and 50,000 women and girls are trafficked each year just in the United States.</div><div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">When the story on Operation Not Forgotten broke and then was quickly pushed aside by political and COVID news, one of my sons asked me why this wasn’t the biggest story in the country. It’s hard to say why. I think part of the reason is it’s such an ugly story people tend to look away. We don’t want to think that child sex slaves are being traded right here in our country, but they are, and we need to start paying attention.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">It’s not like the story is new. The U.S. Marshals have aided in the recovery of over 1,800 children since they first teamed up with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in 2005. There are some QAnon posts that attempt to make this look like something new and tie it to some Democrat-run sex ring, but there’s no evidence of that whatsoever. What there is evidence of is an ongoing problem of exploited children and a near blackout of the story by the media.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The problem lies in separating the parental disputes from the child sex trade. I, by no means, make excuses for parents who flee the state with their children, but at least we can get our minds around that. What is unfathomable is anyone who would sexually exploit a child. What’s even more despicable is it’s sometimes the parents themselves. U.S. Marshal Pete Elliott told WOIO-TV, “We’ve had some cases where the mother or father, or both, may have been prostituting their own child.” Can you imagine? Most of us can’t.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">So, what do we do about it? Unfortunately, there’s not much we as citizens can do about it. Law enforcement is tracking down as many of these animals who exploit children as they have leads. What we can do is pay more attention to the problem. What we can do is support news outlets that shine a light on the problem. What we can do is insist our local officials make our own communities as inhospitable for child trafficking as they possibly can. What we can do is care.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The fact that Operation Not Forgotten got so little press is an indication of our indifference. So many people like my own sons are much more outraged because they’re barely adults themselves. It’s easy for them to think, “that could’ve been me.” For the rest of us, we need to be thinking, “that could’ve been ours.” It’s only after we personalize this issue that it will ever go away.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">We think of child sex trafficking as just a third world problem. It’s not. It’s our problem too. </span></p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "helvetica neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p><div style="color: #060606;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" />Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space"><b style="font-family: times, "times new roman", serif;"><br /></b></span></div><p><br style="font-family: times;" /></p><p class="p2" style="font-family: "helvetica neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><br /></p></div>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-12905230135781350272020-09-02T03:24:00.000-05:002020-09-02T03:24:26.915-05:00Kyle Rittenhouse: Hero or Villain?<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">You would think the left-wing media would’ve learned a lesson or two from slandering Nick Sandmann, the MAGA hat-wearing teen who was confronted by a Trump-deranged Indian guy banging a drum and the media made it look like the snotty white kid was blocking the poor man’s way. Sandmann has already bagged multi-million-dollar settlements from the WashPo and CNN, and his lawyer ain’t quite done yet.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Then along comes Kyle Rittenhouse. He’s the young man charged with double homicide in Kenosha, WI. The left-wing media are already portraying him as a white supremacist, yet I was not able to find anything that would remotely link him to that movement. You can argue he shouldn’t have been walking around</span></p><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6tdUDPHvSV_EJAsYjl66hN2qniUKfA2IGiErc14xuyKBeRiFkPwLGc54oleVXCTwcftJZ-lwfR-3MZPIZHgz2oraknt88VQXRB9b83fCiBl3mH_IHQ9mOAoo8YOIkOyS-gyp2EUJOjL_a/s1024/Rosenbaum.jpeg" style="clear: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="682" data-original-width="1024" height="218" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6tdUDPHvSV_EJAsYjl66hN2qniUKfA2IGiErc14xuyKBeRiFkPwLGc54oleVXCTwcftJZ-lwfR-3MZPIZHgz2oraknt88VQXRB9b83fCiBl3mH_IHQ9mOAoo8YOIkOyS-gyp2EUJOjL_a/w328-h218/Rosenbaum.jpeg" title="Joseph Rosenbaum" width="328" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Joseph Rosenbaum</td></tr></tbody></table><span style="font-family: times;"><br /> Kenosha with a rifle. Joseph Rosenbaum, the first man to be shot by Rittenhouse, was a convicted child molester. Not that being a child molester makes you an automatic target, but it gives you a little insight into who we’re dealing with. He was an unhinged, violent criminal who earlier in the day was seen screaming over and over again, “Shoot me, nigga!” Apparently he got his wish.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Video shows Rosenbaum running after Rittenhouse who apparently had just put out a dumpster fire. This is not some analogy for Joe Biden’s campaign. He had literally, according to reports, just put out a fire in a dumpster that Antifa members had set. It was reportedly close to the car dealership Rittenhouse was guarding. Rosenbaum chased Rittenhouse until he cornered him up next to a car. Rosenbaum then grabbed for Rittenhouse’s rifle at which time Rittenhouse discharged his weapon and Rosenbaum lay mortally wounded.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Rittenhouse then dialed someone up on the phone. It’s presumed it was 911, but we can’t be sure at this point. He told the person on the other end he had just shot someone. Suddenly several Antifa members began pursuing him. He was either pushed or he tripped and fell to the ground. Several Antifa thugs jumped on him. One, Anthony Huber, attacked him with a skateboard. I listened aghast as one news report, on Fox News of all places, said no one attacked Rittenhouse on the ground. Beating people senseless with a skateboard is standard operating procedure with these Antifa thugs. Rittenhouse shot Huber who staggered away then collapsed to the ground dead.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">The third unfortunate man to encounter Rittenhouse was Gauge Grosskreutz. He was carrying a pistol even though he was forbidden to carry because of another conviction and violating probation. Before he could shoot Rittenhouse he was shot in the arm. Anthony Huber, who died of his wounds, was convicted of domestic violence.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But it’s Kyle Rittenhouse who’s being vilified by the mainstream media. They’ve called him a white nationalist, a white supremacist, and worse, all the while ignoring the horrific records of the thugs he shot.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Look, Kyle Rittenhouse isn’t necessarily a hero like some on the right want to portray him, but he was clearly acting in self defense. I think prosecutors charged him because they were afraid not to, but imagine what’s going to happen when they have to drop the charges.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">You think you’ve seen unrest? That makes two out of three. The first was back in March. He’s made a full recovery except for his sense of smell. It’s not completely back, but it’s getting there. The second son is almost over it and close to the end of his quarantine period.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">I was thinking about the grandmothers on both sides of our family. These two boys of mine are the only ones actually safe enough to visit them. Then I started thinking what a great place to be that is. Can you imagine no longer being afraid of this virus? Can you imagine no longer needing to wear a mask?</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: left;"></p><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Don’t get the wrong idea. I’m not suggesting everybody get this thing. It can be lethal for some people, but we pretty much know who. You</span></div><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="float: right; font-family: "helvetica neue"; font-size: 11px; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEW9X13M4NLS1OOyuMqd-E2D-4Aqu8i9bKhHqItZGMLw1OPGUeJS6ySkZr55JmRkhNX1Uw6PE42uhZoJvkUlFuyJE2lBB6iqShtTDeKDCouy2ZIE_9MOymsqahX2d9efX7bnmhh6lCYSXl/s1920/Coronavirus.jpeg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1920" height="184" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEW9X13M4NLS1OOyuMqd-E2D-4Aqu8i9bKhHqItZGMLw1OPGUeJS6ySkZr55JmRkhNX1Uw6PE42uhZoJvkUlFuyJE2lBB6iqShtTDeKDCouy2ZIE_9MOymsqahX2d9efX7bnmhh6lCYSXl/w328-h184/Coronavirus.jpeg" width="328" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"></td></tr></tbody></table><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">have an elevated risk of death if you have underlying health issues, if you’re elderly, or if you’re obese. What a fortunate thing to know. We’re not that lucky with most viruses. The Spanish Flu killed indiscriminately. The average age of death was 27. Even so they didn’t shut down the entire economy. Large gatherings were canceled, but they never shut down restaurants or retail stores. Historians point to three waves of the Spanish Flu, but it was primarily the so-called second wave that made it so deadly. World War I ended and troops carrying the virus returned to their homelands. American soldiers quickly spread the virus across our country and an estimate 675,000 people died. Most of that was over a three month period in the last quarter of 1918.</span></div><p style="text-align: left;"></p><div style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">By the summer of 1919 the disease was pretty much gone. Despite everything we’ve tried to do we’re seeing the same trajectory for COVID. Only this time we’re prolonging the misery. This is the first time in history that we’ve quarantined healthy people. What is generally a three month ordeal has turned into six with no end in sight because we’ve put the virus into slow motion.<br />These viruses seem to have minds of their own. They reach a certain infection level and then they’re done. Herd immunity. With Spanish flu it was about a third of the world’s population. If COVID is similar then we have a ways to go. I don’t want to get coronavirus, and I’m not encouraging you to purposely get it either, but it appears the virus is going to infect a certain percentage of the population before it’s gone. By hiding otherwise healthy people from it we’re merely delaying the inevitable.</span></div><div style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br />I know you’re hoping we get a vaccine before a third of the population is infected, but how is the vaccine any different from herd immunity? In other words, if the healthy among us already had it then a vaccine wouldn’t be necessary. And there could be negative health effects from a vaccine.</span></div><div style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br />I’ve written here about all the studies that show Vitamin D deficiency being linked to bad cases of COVID. It’s almost criminal that our so-called health experts haven’t been telling everybody to get their Vitamin D levels checked. Low Vitamin D is the source of so many other illnesses it would not be bad advice even if we weren’t fighting COVID. Why they’re not mentioning it is beyond me. But we never stop hearing about the masks. It’s almost as if they’re wanting to see how pliable we are.</span></div><div style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br />We want to survive it if we get it, but we can’t continue to run and hide. Unity. They announced the theme then proceeded to divide the country. The only thing they’re unified on is division.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span face="" style="font-family: times;">All of a sudden the coronavirus is Trump’s fault. Is anybody buying this? Hard to tell. The first night of the “convention” tanked. It was 28 percent lower than the opening night four years ago. That’s to be expected given the circumstances, but it was also about content. It was—in a word—boring. Everything was pre-recorded. Heck, Michelle Obama’s speech was pre-recorded even before Joe Biden had picked Kamala Harris as his running mate, which left some viewers wondering if she had simply snubbed her. How busy are you that you can’t wait until Joe picks the running mate before you record your speech?</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Meanwhile, Donald Trump was on tour making a couple of stops in battleground states. The Democrats complained that tradition states the opposing candidate lays low during the other party’s convention. Donald Trump is nothing if not unconventional. He actually had a live audience. It was so much more exciting than anything on DNC-TV.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">What the Democrats harped on was how bad Trump is. Andrew Cuomo said Trump didn’t create division, but division created Trump. That’s actually true to a certain extent. What created Trump was a lack of awareness from both major parties. The reason Trump connected is because he was saying some things neither party would dream of saying out loud. We have to build a wall. We have to stop getting raped by China. We have to embrace capitalism and completely shun socialism.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">For too long the Republicans have gone along to get along. Can you imagine what a Romney presidency would’ve looked like. We’re better off that he lost. It gave America four more years of unbridled liberalism to figure out that’s not what this country is all about. If there’s any single person who’s most responsible for Donald Trump it’s Barack Obama. The vote in 2016 was not only about Hillary, it was about more of Obama. The people rejected it.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But not by much. Trump was savvy enough to actually campaign to the Electoral College. The Democrats were campaigning to win the popular vote. Both won, but Trump won the only one that counts. I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the Democrats may be doing the same thing again.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">This business of mail-in voting—which I call mail-out voting—is not popular with the American people. Try as they may to convince people it’s the same as absentee voting, it’s not. Absentee voting is when you personally request a ballot. Mail-out voting is when they mail out a ballot to everybody who’s registered to vote, regardless of whether they’re dead or they’ve moved.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">President Trump has been watching this coming for months. It’s like sitting across the street from a bank and watching it get robbed in slow motion. OK, there’s the getaway car pulling up. Now they’re getting out of the car. Alright, they’re putting on the ski masks. They’re walking in the door. They’re getting ready to rob the bank! That’s what Trump’s been seeing, and the mainstream media want you to think he’s delusional. Instead, they want you to believe he’s taken over the post office and is scooping up drop boxes all over the country, neither of which is true.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But that’s the playbook of the Democrats, and it has been for quite sometime. They don’t have a platform. All they have to sell is fear itself.</span></p><p class="p1" style="font-family: "helvetica neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px;"><br /></p><div style="color: #060606; text-align: justify;"><span class="Apple-converted-space" style="font-family: times;"><span face="" style="color: black; font-weight: bold;">Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black;">, </span><b style="color: black;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black;"> </span><b style="color: black;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space"><b style="font-family: times, "times new roman", serif;"><br /></b></span></div><p><br /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-71527296281140087032020-08-12T06:54:00.000-05:002020-08-12T06:54:09.102-05:00Football's out. What's next?<p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Football’s being canceled left and right and basketball will surely follow. Why? Because people are scared. Are they justified? Not really. Don’t get me wrong, COVID can be quite deadly with the wrong people, but most of us aren’t the wrong people.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Swiss Policy Research put out a <a href="https://swprs.org/a-swiss-doctor-on-covid-19/" target="_blank">list of 30 COVID facts</a> that everyone should read. Some of the highlights include this little factoid. If you’re of school age or working age the risk of your dying from COVID is about the same as your risk of dying on the car ride to work. Think about that. Your risk of dying on the way to work is obviously not zero, but it’s not enough to even concern you. Here’s something else they found. Up to 80 percent of all people who test positive will have no symptoms. In other words, while you’re freaking out over getting it, </span><span style="text-align: left;">there’s a chance you’ve already had it never knew it.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL2Z3tH3x5hl9axNm0JhLmp-ntTFcJK3XLHfh4rdDhNIrPZ9ZPwl1ltjTVmvT3N6zeN1Densu9Xjh06WDx0KSyO78y7IHxzCdWdcC_l6456e4qDkKXjvNpfNgxFQI6RJGeFo7zl3JgwoZS/s350/No+football.jpeg" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="340" data-original-width="350" height="174" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL2Z3tH3x5hl9axNm0JhLmp-ntTFcJK3XLHfh4rdDhNIrPZ9ZPwl1ltjTVmvT3N6zeN1Densu9Xjh06WDx0KSyO78y7IHxzCdWdcC_l6456e4qDkKXjvNpfNgxFQI6RJGeFo7zl3JgwoZS/w179-h174/No+football.jpeg" width="179" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Even with the higher risk age group of 70 to 79-year-olds, 60 percent remain symptom-free. They say about 95 percent of people who get this thing only suffer moderate symptoms or less.<br /><br /></div><div><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Of course, it’s that 5 percent we need to worry about. Hardly a week goes by that I don’t see another study linking Vitamin D deficiency to serious symptoms of COVID. Vitamin D is so important for a wide swath of health-related issues, including your immune system. Why do we never hear Drs. Fauci and Birx urging you to get your Vitamin D checked? In fact, I went in for my yearly physical and asked my doctor if they were going to check my Vitamin D. He said they hadn’t planned on it, but they could. They did. Mine was very low. I’m now taking Vitamin D daily to try and get it back to a normal level.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Why is this not routine? Vitamin D is one of those essential things we should be checking, and it’s so easy to fix if your system is out of whack. It’s tied to so many ailments, yet doctors rarely recommend getting it checked, and no one on the national level has identified it as a possible complication with COVID, despite numerous studies.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Here’s something else from the Swiss Policy Research. The median age of people dying from COVID around the world is over 80. This is something we’ve known since the get-go, yet we continue to foolishly put COVID-positve patients back in nursing homes. In many countries, upwards of two-thirds of all the extra deaths occurred in nursing homes. Imagine if we took two-thirds of the deaths out of the count. This disease would not be nearly as scary. Unless you’re in a nursing home it’s very likely you’ll never die from it.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">In fact, it’s very unlikely that you’ll die from it period. While we’re looking at probably 200,000 or more deaths before this thing is done, well over 600,000 people die each year in the U.S. from heart disease. Same for cancer. Yet we don’t sit around in a panic over either of those diseases. I know, you can’t catch heart disease or cancer, but remember that first stat. If you’re school age or working age you have a better chance of dying on your way to work than dying from COVID.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><span face="">So, what’s my point? My point is we have to go back to our lives. College-age football players have virtually no chance of dying from this. Canceling football unduly adds to the panic. Stop it. Because the politicians who impose the harsh restrictions don’t abide by their own rules. Take, for example, the mayor of Nashville. He launched an investigation that rivaled the Lindbergh baby case when someone dared have a house party and invite a couple of hundred people. Mayor Cooper vowed to bring those responsible to justice. Yet this was the same mayor who invited thousands to join him downtown in the middle of a pandemic to protest police brutality all the while knowing other similar protests across the country were turning into riots. Right on time, his protest did too. No social distancing. No adhering to his own orders against large groups.</span></span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">But Mayor Cooper is hardly alone. Governor Andrew Cuomo returned from a trip to Georgia where he met with officials sans a mask. When he returned, he was asked by a reporter if he was going to quarantine per his own order. Negatory. He was, as he put it, an “essential worker.” Tell that to the families of dead relatives in nursing homes with whom he placed COVID-positive patients. So, the governor is an essential worker, but a guy trying to run a restaurant and put bread on his family’s table is not? Nice.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Early on, when hair salons were shut down, a video surfaced of Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago getting her hair done. This after she shot a PSA scolding women that “getting your roots done is not essential.” Apparently the mayor getting a haircut was. Her excuse? “I’m in the public every day.” OK. What exactly is that supposed to mean? It means the rules don’t apply to me because I’m the ruling elite.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">Then there was Congressman John Lewis’s funeral. It was in Georgia, a state on the list of hotspots for DC Mayor Muriel Bowser. If you visit Georgia, even step foot in the state, you’re required to quarantine for 14 days. But not if you’re a politician who attended John Lewis’s funeral. Bowser classified the Lewis funeral as “government activity,” thus exempting anyone who attended from having to quarantine. In other words, the rules don’t apply to us ruling elites.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">We’ve seen the same total disregard to the rules when it comes to Black Lives Matter protests and riots. You’re fine going to those, just don’t try to go to a church service. And don’t even think of gathering at a bar in downtown Nashville. Several bars were cited for violating the mayor’s edicts. The city attorney opined that protests were protected by the Constitution, but congregating at a bar was not. I beg to differ with that opinion. The Constitution doesn’t distinguish between gathering at a bar and gathering at a court house with rocks. I offered some unsolicited advice to the bars under siege by the city. Have a protest every night. You can protest the mayor’s unfair lockdowns. You can protest for or against Black Lives Matter. Doesn’t really matter. If the city says protests are immune from prosecution then just protest something. Anything.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">They didn’t take my advice, and they're now in court fighting the crackdown. So, now the city authorities are on the case of the rogue house party and the belligerent bachelorettes. Yes, a bachelorette party got rowdy when they couldn’t get a large table together and left the restaurant in a huff. And one of the ladies coughed on an employee. OMG! The woman faces assault charges if they can find her.</span></p><p class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;"><br /></span></p><p class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: times;">It’s apparent that people don’t appreciate different rules for the rulers and the ruled.</span></p><div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;"><div style="font-family: helvetica;"><span class="Apple-converted-space"><span face="" style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: small; font-weight: bold;"><br class="Apple-interchange-newline" /></span><span face="" style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: small; font-weight: bold;">Phil Valentine is the host of the award-winning talk radio show, </span><a href="http://philvalentine.com/" style="font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: medium; font-weight: bold;">The Phil Valentine Show</a><span face="" style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: small;">, </span><b style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: medium;">on SuperTalk 99.7WTN in Nashville.</b><span face="" style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: small;"> </span><b style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: medium;">He's also co-host of <a href="http://podgoats.com/">The PodGOATs</a> podcast and <a href="http://bovinescatology.com/">I'm Calling Bovine Scatology</a>.</b></span></div><div><span class="Apple-converted-space"><b style="color: black; font-family: times, "times new roman", serif; font-size: medium;"><br /></b></span></div></div><p><br /></p>Phil Valentine Showhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10038426497029778218noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7728657201867768694.post-40110199389548716192020-07-29T06:00:00.000-05:002020-07-29T06:00:02.665-05:00Hydroxy is back!<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Hydroxychloroquine is making a comeback. The most politically maligned drug in history is finally being recognized for the miracle that it is. You know the story. President Trump mentioned the potential benefits of the drug, and the left-wing media set about to destroy it. You see, it’s rather simple yet sad. The leftists in the media can’t have a happy ending to the coronavirus pandemic as long as Donald Trump is in office. So, a drug that’s been around for 70 years was maliciously portrayed in the media as dangerous. Even the usually level-headed <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/media/neil-cavuto-reacts-trump-taking-hydroxychloroquine-coronavirus" target="_blank">Neil Cavuto</a> on Fox Business Channel was sucked in, declaring hysterically, “This will kill you.”</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy5w4muKHh6hAOZAonmzvkGFATCL8UiBtMCix4vejE07tvjEDkE9IqGveFvilbesfwnwbADSF6DAXc6BvffD-GBNxvHU9V3veMv3uM4z0xcWjE3dhSywbaI4aQBqr8p75ykGWZ5hwveO96/s1600/Hydroxy.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="450" data-original-width="800" height="180" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgy5w4muKHh6hAOZAonmzvkGFATCL8UiBtMCix4vejE07tvjEDkE9IqGveFvilbesfwnwbADSF6DAXc6BvffD-GBNxvHU9V3veMv3uM4z0xcWjE3dhSywbaI4aQBqr8p75ykGWZ5hwveO96/s320/Hydroxy.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Cavuto and others were bamboozled by a report on a supposed study by the VA that turned out to be an observational study rather than a clinical study. That means someone took data and analyzed it rather than conducting a study themselves. That someone was Scott Sutton who was <a href="https://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/health-care/item/35547-va-study-on-hydroxychloroquine-challenged-gilead-s-drug-remdesivir-ineffective" target="_blank">paid to do the study</a> by Gilead Sciences. That name sound familiar? That’s the maker of Remdesivir, a rival drug that costs thousands of dollars, while hydroxychloroquine costs just pennies. Mr. Sutton cherry picked patients who were in the last stages of life, most dying of something other than COVID.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Still, the FDA reversed its emergency use order for hydroxy. Countries that had been having great success with the drug, like Switzerland, pulled the drug under pressure and their death rates spiked.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Dr. Harvey Risch had had enough. Risch is a medical doctor with a PhD and is a professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health. He’s published over 300 peer-reviewed publications. His credentials are beyond reproach, even for the activist media. He <a href="https://www.newsweek.com/key-defeating-covid-19-already-exists-we-need-start-using-it-opinion-1519535" target="_blank">wrote an editorial for <i>Newsweek</i></a> in which he was livid over the demonization of hydroxy. He cited study after study in which the drug had been used in hospitals around the world with amazing results. He lamented that some heroic doctors continue to save lives with hydroxy and are fighting medical boards to save their licenses. “As a result,” he writes, “tens of thousands of patients with COVID-19 are dying unnecessarily.” Think of that. Tens of thousands of people are dying just so Trump doesn’t get re-elected.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">A few days after Dr. Risch’s scathing editorial, a group of doctors calling themselves <a href="https://www.rev.com/blog/transcripts/americas-frontline-doctors-scotus-press-conference-transcript" target="_blank">America’s Frontline Doctors</a> held a press conference in Washington echoing Dr. Risch’s editorial. Dr. Stella Immanuel, a primary care physician in Houston, told of how she had treated over 350 patients with COVID, some with diabetes, some with high blood pressure, some with asthma. She had also treated numerous elderly patients. The combination of hydroxy with Zithromax and zinc had given her remarkable results. “After taking care of over 350 patients,” she said, “we’ve not lost one.”</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">In an unprecedented move, Big Pharma has pressured many pharmacists into not filling prescriptions for hydroxy. This despite the doctor’s expertise and judgement. Some pharmacists claim to know more than the doctors. It truly is shockingly amazing.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Meanwhile, Moderna and others are in the final stages of vaccine trials. I have no problem with a vaccine, but if there’s something already out there that keeps COVID patients from dying why aren’t we using it? Because President Trump recommended it, and if it does work—which it certainly appears to do—then this whole nightmare is over. The economy is instantly reopened. We go back to normal at the snap of a finger. That’s the worst nightmare of the liberals and the left-wing media. And they’re willing to kill to keep it from happening.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Do a search for “masks” and "CO2 poisoning” and you get all sorts of results saying that it's all a conspiracy theory. The truth, however, is much more nuanced.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Let me say up front that if you're a healthcare worker or someone coming into contact with someone susceptible to the adverse effects of COVID-19, a mask is essential. No, it does not completely block everything, but it certainly does block a heckuva lot of unwanted things. The main problem with the masks is a false sense of security.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU1m45VxquOql9MqPhbqxlzkNQ7sBRP0SvMIpAtFjcMCtmSCX4vj9h6xd6fkD12LV5zLezmJ6QgMhccchsLXJXl92CKUwx8prVpkeTbKFLbKIfg-KBbM-AoTzcRx8P3MQvBQ3YR2bu4JEW/s1600/Phil+wearing+MAGA+mask.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1203" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU1m45VxquOql9MqPhbqxlzkNQ7sBRP0SvMIpAtFjcMCtmSCX4vj9h6xd6fkD12LV5zLezmJ6QgMhccchsLXJXl92CKUwx8prVpkeTbKFLbKIfg-KBbM-AoTzcRx8P3MQvBQ3YR2bu4JEW/s320/Phil+wearing+MAGA+mask.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But back to the CO2 toxicity. A <a href="https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16441251/" target="_blank">study was done </a>on healthcare workers during the SARS outbreak in 2003. It found that 37 percent of them developed headaches from wearing a mask for prolonged periods. This is something I've known for years intuitively from bush hogging on my tractor. If I don't stop every couple of hours and take off my N95 mask I get dizzy, sometimes very tired, sometimes even disoriented.</div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">To label CO2 toxicity as a total conspiracy theory is to ignore the facts. Are you going to get it from grocery shopping with a mask on? Probably not, but there have been several cases of people passing out in cars while wearing masks and causing accidents. Why you would wear your mask in the car is beyond me.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">My whole mask issue has never been an aversion to the masks themselves. It's an aversion to blanket edicts that come down from people with no constitutional authority to issue them. What we <i>do</i> know about this virus is you have to be exposed to it for several minutes (the experts say at least 10) before you can catch it. It is virtually impossible to catch it going to the grocery store. You're not going to catch it walking through any store. Now, if you're in the vulnerable category then I can understand why you'd wear a mask, but the experts also say the mask isn't going to keep you from getting it, but it might keep you from spreading it if you have it.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">If you cannot social distance then a mask makes sense. I was at a funeral recently and everyone wore masks. That makes good scientific sense. However, forcing everyone to wear a mask whenever they're in public may cause people to assume the mask is going to save them. I know from personal experience that when I don't wear a mask in a grocery store I'm much more aware of keeping my distance. When I wear one I don't even think about it.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="background-color: white; color: #060606; font-size: 15px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Here's what the current science tells us. A mask will not keep you from getting COVID, but it may keep you from spreading it if you have it. It also tells us that you're not going to get it through casual contact at a grocery store. That's why decisions on masks should be left to the individual stores and not the government. Wearing a mask everywhere is senseless. Wearing a mask when you're in close contact with others for a prolonged time is smart. We have the info. Let us make our own decisions like big boys and girls.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The frustrating thing is the overwhelming link between Vitamin D deficiency and severe cases of COVID. There’s <a href="https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200518/more-vitamin-d-lower-risk-of-severe-covid-19" target="_blank">ample evidence</a> that proper levels of Vitamin D in your system may help you avoid what’s called a cytokine storm. This is when your immune system overreacts and starts attacking your own cells and tissues. This is what kills many people with COVID-19.</span></div>

<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Apparently sleep depravation is racist. There’s actually something out there called Black Power Naps. They told Teen Vogue that “they were specifically experiencing a generational fatigue familiar to black people and people of color.” They say, “we inherited this exhaustion.” Now, I know you think I’m making this up, but I’m not. Exhaustion is apparently the product of slavery.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Congress is getting set to hold hearings on reparations and the historical ramifications of slavery on black Americans. Does it not strike you as strange that we haven’t had legalized slavery in this country for 155 years, but somehow slavery is responsible for anything and everything negative in the black community? Even sleep depravation and exhaustion.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">Enough with the excuses!</span></div>

<br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
We can have hearings until the cows come home. You can even have reparations, which I wouldn’t recommend. Once the recipients have gone through that money we’re right back where we started. I know I’ve said it before, but it’s true. The single largest roadblock to the American dream is government dependence. That goes for any race or ethnic group. It just so happens that it disproportionately affects the black community.</div>
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">I know it’s easy for a white man of privilege to say, but making excuses helps no one. We’ve been making excuses for decades, and the results are more and more black citizens get trapped in welfare. Not that long ago, it was just a sad statistic that a disproportionate number of black citizens were on welfare. Now the sad stat is a majority of welfare recipients are black. That should alarm us all.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The solution is not reparations. The solution is not defunding the police. The solution is a healthy economy and getting every able-bodied American off the government dole. It’s long been said that Democrats gauge their success by how many people they get on welfare, and Republicans judge their success by how many people they get off of welfare.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">It seems if you’re not all about a new government welfare program you’re somehow a racist. Ask Nancy Pelosi how many of her children or grandchildren are on welfare. I can tell you for myself I would be embarrassed if one of my kids was on welfare. Whatever happened to shame? I guess shame is racist.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">But isn’t that what we’re lacking these days? I’m not saying we shouldn’t help people who can’t help themselves, but it should be a humbling experience for the recipient. Especially if you’re able to work. If you ever saw Cinderella Man, that was the most powerful scene in the movie. Boxing champ James J. Braddock stood in the welfare line for hours only to get to the window and give the money back. Think that happens today?</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">We need more Braddocks in the world. We need more people who reluctantly take government handouts. We need more people who are humbled by the experience, instead of feeling entitled. Dependence is a bad thing, no matter who or what you’re dependent on. Trying to get someone else to pay for your bad decisions is never a workable solution. Personal responsibility is at the heart of solving most of society’s problems. But if you insist on holding someone responsible why would it be a government that fought to end slavery?</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: Times, Times New Roman, serif;">The head of the Frederick Douglass Foundation recently had a stroke of genius. On the issue of reparations he suggested whoever was responsible for slavery, the Civil War, the KKK, and Jim Crow laws should be sued for reparations. Who would that be? The Democrat Party. Don’t hold your breath waiting for a check.</span></div>

<span class="s1" style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-kerning: none;">It’s like the plague is closing in all around me, and I’m not talking about the coronavirus. I’m talking about power-hungry politicians and their ridiculous regulations.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-kerning: none;">So, I was in Lowe’s recently getting some materials for a project on my boat when I began to look for a place to check out. An Asian gentleman standing in one of the checkout lines said something to me, but I couldn’t understand it through his mask. I leaned in closer. “You are my hero,” he said. I swelled with pride. I figured he was a radio listener who recognized me. “Thank you,” I said. Then he motioned me back closer. “You are defying the mask order. It is so stupid.” I suddenly got it. I thanked him again and looked around. I was the only one in the store not wearing a mask. Then I realized something else. I was no longer in my sane county where wearing a mask is optional. I was in Nashville, where wearing a mask is mandatory. And my unwitting defiance had inspired someone.</span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px;">
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSICUvfdibHIO_Tg7HT35hiAsyzjU-mQ4ITClUC5jmN0TLJNPo2nx9ypDnVtT8oqxPix2r3uMMseKUgwc8dHmfzLFic2m91YbTcdoEbEmtHQEJBbkMYTReKg2Gr3BZMPFq6u5t0htgoawH/s1600/Masks.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><img border="0" data-original-height="350" data-original-width="590" height="189" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSICUvfdibHIO_Tg7HT35hiAsyzjU-mQ4ITClUC5jmN0TLJNPo2nx9ypDnVtT8oqxPix2r3uMMseKUgwc8dHmfzLFic2m91YbTcdoEbEmtHQEJBbkMYTReKg2Gr3BZMPFq6u5t0htgoawH/s320/Masks.jpeg" width="320" /></span></a></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif; font-kerning: none;">Flash forward a few days. The mask mandate had followed me home. The mayor of Williamson County, Rogers Anderson, announced a county-wide mask mandate.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-family: "Helvetica Neue"; font-size: 11px; font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Now, I don’t want to be misunderstood on this mask thing. I have no problem if you want to wear a mask. Personally, I don’t see how it does much good. Scientifically, I know it won’t keep you from getting coronavirus. It may keep someone from spreading it, but if you’re sick you have no business in public anyway. The problem I have is not with the masks but with the mandates.</span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">The science is certainly not settled on coronavirus. This situation is still fluid. Anyone who tells you to “follow the science” doesn’t know what they’re talking about. What I prefer to do is follow common sense. Moreover, I prefer to follow the Constitution.</span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">If I come into contact with someone with coronavirus then I have a personal obligation to stay away from other people for two weeks. That’s called personal responsibility. Instead, government officials, like they’re doing in my county, are taking advantage of the panic to exercise power they don’t have. My county has a population of over 200,000 people. You know how many people have died outside of nursing homes in my county? Less than ten. So, we’re going to tell nearly a quarter of a million people to wear a mask everywhere they go because fewer than a dozen people have died? I don’t think so.</span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Which brings me to my new hero, Andy Ogles. Andy is the mayor of neighboring Maury County. He boldly announced that he “took an oath to defend our constitution” and said he “intended to do so.” With that he announced “there will be no mask mandate in Maury County.” That’s called leadership. He urged social distancing and supported a business’s right to require you to wear a mask, but he understands the limits of his power. He also understands what freedom really means.</span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">We have a long national discussion ahead of us, because the next issue that’ll be pushed by the mask mandators is the vaccine. Alan Dershowitz says the state has the right to force you to get vaccinated. He says you don’t have the right to infect someone else. Think about that for a moment. If I decide not to get vaccinated, the only people I may be putting at risk are people who have made the same decision.</span></span></div>
<div class="p2" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; min-height: 12px; text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;"><span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"></span><br /></span></div>
<div class="p1" style="font-stretch: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-numeric: normal; line-height: normal; text-align: justify;">
<span class="s1" style="font-kerning: none;"><span style="font-family: "times" , "times new roman" , serif;">Freedom isn’t that complicated. Either we have it or we don’t. For many, we don’t.</span></span><br />
